Final Magazine (Update Based On Feedback) - Task 45

Final Magazine (Update Based On Feedback) - Task 45

From uploading my initial final magazine, I was asked to correct some things which would benefit the magazine from my media tutor. The main things which needed to be changed was the anchorage text on the front page for the headline, and also the main image for the contents page. Hopefully from this feedback has made my magazine much better, despite the little changes. Here is an overview:

Final Evaluation - Task 44

Final Evaluation - Task 44

Here is my media evaluation. I decided to make it a animated - styled video so it comes across as more appealing but informative. I have put a lot of work into this evaluation going over the questions as best I can, but I am open to change parts and make the overall evaluation the best it can be. I hope you like it, once again feedback is much appreciated.

Music Magazine Pages Mock Ups - Individual Post 23

Music Magazine Pages Mock Ups - Individual Post 23

To show what the magazines look like on a magazine, I have some mock ups which I wanted to use to see how they would look. I think it gives it more of a nice effect, especially to see how they would look overall.

As you can see there are two mock ups. One with part of the front cover and part of the contents, whilst the other has the complete page of a double page spread. It really does make it look really and gives you an idea of how it would look like if it was printed.

If I can find more mock ups, i'll use them. All credit goes to the creators of the mock ups. I hope you like how they look, and also provide feedback if you can, thank you!

Music Magazine Pages Overview - Individual Post 43

Music Magazine Pages Overview - Task 43

Here is an overview of the designs I have done. Here you can scan through the design in a PDF document which i've put up online using a PDF file uploader website known as 'DocStoc'. DocStoc is a site where you can upload personal or business PDF's for viewing from any one or yourself privately.

I have set up 5 pages, one being the magazine front cover, then the magazine contents page, then the magazine double page spread which goes across two pages, then a final overview page. I hope you like this simple presentation, as I think it adds a little more interaction to the magazine in general, and I think it's a nice way to go about it. Thank you viewing this, any feedback is much appreciated.

Music Magazine Pages Analysis - Individual Post 22

Music Magazine Pages Analysis - Individual Post 22

Here is the analysis video of me explaining some of the changes I made through the front cover page, the content page and the double page spread. I wanted to try and keep it brief, as I didn't want to speak a lot and to explain quickly why I made these changes, and what I feel they will represent with what i've done with them. I am really happy with doing these analysis videos as it's made me realise where I can work off, and look at the mistakes i've made and encounter them and turn them into strengths. I think once again the videos have served the purpose of me explaining them in a one-to-one kind of way with the viewer, so that you the viewer can understand what I do with the things I do, and why i've done them (plus I also adding music behind the videos make it a little more fun!)

I really hope you like this final analysis video, and hopefully learned as much as I did, I feel it's really a step into the right direction and I have learned a lot from doing this. Thank you!

Music Magazine (Double Page Spread) Final Draft - Task 42

Music Magazine (Double Page Spread) Final Draft - Task 42

Finally, here is my final design for the double page spread! I didn't do too much changes from the second draft, apart from changing the smaller image into a circle, as I previously said in the video I think it would look much better that way. I also changed the type size of the quote on the right page to a much taller height, as I think it stands out a lot more on the page, and I think the kernings better the space of the letters work well together also. They are not too close, but they are not to far away for them to be jumbled up.

I am really happy with this also in how it come out. It didn't take the longest to do, but I enjoyed doing it none-the-less. I feel like I learned a lot doing a double page spread, especially it being the biggest page to do out of the two pages. If you would like to see the other two designs, go to the links: 'FRONT PAGE' & 'CONTENTS PAGE'

Thank you for viewing the final design, and I will be creating an analysis video of the pages together, and some mock ups of if the magazines where presented in magazines. Thank you for viewing!

Music Magazine (Contents Page) Final Draft - Task 41

Music Magazine (Contents Page) Final Draft - Task 41

Here is the final  design for the contents page. Once again, after looking at some of the things I went over in my second draft, I really wanted to bring out some changes within the final design. In this, I have changed the colour scheme from yellow once again to flow with the front page and double page spread (to follow after this blog post). I also minimised the numbers for the pages numbers, to take in the size if it would be printed, as it would be much bigger on the page.

I also changed the font for '41' as i think it looks a lot more dynamic and looks really funky as well. I changed the colouring on the anchorage text boxes to white, as I think it stands out a lot more and is much easier on the eye, especially for viewing in a viewers perspective.

Once again, I am happy with how this has turned out, and it met with what I wanted to do. I've learned a lot from doing all of this and I will use the skills i've learned from this and push forward! I hope you like my final design.
